This month, I’ve been spending a LOT of time thinking and talking about my daughters.
My youngest, Charlotte, graduated from high school this month. Soon, she’ll be off on her own adventures just like my older daughters.
I couldn’t be more proud of her and excited for her.
She’s about to make a BIG jump into life as a university student—and the only reason I’m not freaked out about that, is that I know she’ll have amazing mentors.
See, she’s heading off to the same University as her older sisters, Ashley and Maria.
Sure, she might experience some stressful moments even knowing they are nearby. And there are decisions she’ll have to make and situations she’ll have to navigate on her own.
But how much simpler will her life in first year university be for having two experienced, compassionate guides to shine a light on her path forward??
THIS is exactly the role I love to play for the landholders I work with.
In my career, I’ve seen firsthand that mentorship is perhaps THE most important defining factor in whether or not we’ll be successful in endeavors beyond our comfort zone.
Even now, more than two decades in, I am so grateful for amazing mentors.
Just recently, my husband and I co-chaired a weekend experience for 170 people in the Gulf Islands.
If we’d been left to figure that out on our own, we would have been terrified… but instead, we got support from a brilliant couple who had co-chaired a similar event in the past. As a result, the process was easeful and the event was a 100% success!
Similarly, I know that when landholders are beginning the development process, there can be a lot of confusion, overwhelm, and even fear…
…And my job, as their mentor and guide, is to mitigate those concerns.
If you’re looking for a mentor to support you or your clients through the land development process and help you actualize the value in your land—let’s chat.
Schedule a call to learn what partnering with me on your project could look like. And, we currently have two spaces open in our mentoring program.
In your corner,
Tegan
PS – Anyone else have kids graduating this month?? If so, congrats to you and your family on this milestone!
